Here are a few things that went wrong in the years leading to the takeover that we honestly wish would change now…
The sudden emergence of rats – Silverbird helped rebuild the cinema experience in Nigeria but they did not do it alone. They did it with the help of Rats (haha I kid). Hey, but there have been complaints of those little guys popping up for some of the action on the big screen a couple of times. We hope, going forward, that this is fixed.
The extremely cold atmosphere – I have personally experienced this. Actually, my first cinema experience, I thought I was going to freeze to death. I was almost certain it was a Cinema thing until I saw a movie at Genesis Deluxe! Imagine wanting to take a Blanket/Duvet with you just cause you want to see feem? Nah nah nah.
Hian, even winter can’t be this serious ejo. Or is it?
Clearly, other people have complained about this issue. We hope if Mr Murray-Bruce gets his companies back, this would be looked into moving forward.
The customers matter after all. Abi, it is what we like to think.
Sound Quality – Every cinema has its own peculiar issues but Silverbird seems to be unperturbed about the quality of their sounds sometimes. And since the big screen isn’t exactly a TV you can adjust sound by tuning your Antenna or fiddling with the remote control, you have to endure an entire feature hoping someone will come fix the issue.
We hope that goes away.
And yeah, to the one that is most important to me (call me whatever), quantity of Popcorn needs to be increased.
We wish Silverbird all the best.
Now that power has changed hands at Silverbird we hope these things would too
