The very popular music blog notjustOk has announced that its first ever music concert tagged Notjustok Music Concert, to be held in Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
According to the organizers, the concert will feature music artistes that have ‘shined and received critical acclaim from the notjustOk audience all through the year’. The concert will also be an avenue to exhibit the ‘rich variety’ of Nigerian music centered on hip-hop and contemporary music.
‘The entire notjustOk team is excited about the music concert. We saw a need to bring the notjustOk community and the critically acclaimed artistes on the site under one roof to celebrate Nigerian music. It will be a concert filled with passionate fans and extraordinary artistes’, owner of the music blog, Ademola Ogundele says.
NotjustOk started as far back as June 2006, but fully turned into a music site on June 29, 2008 after the video for 9ice’s performance at Mandela’s 46664 concert was posted. The response to that video convinced the bloggers that there was an audience for Nigerian music online.
