The Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria organizers of the Creative Industry Awards have revealed the 10 categories up for nomination at the inaugural edition of the awards.
The categories include:
Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Antique)
Performing Arts (Live Music, Dance, Theatre, DJ)
Comedy (Stand-up comedy, TV comedy, Comedy films)
Music (Record labels, Production houses, Artiste Management, Marketers)
Film (Production houses, Producers, Marketers)
Publishing (Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals etc)
Audio Visual (Television, Radio)
New Media (Digitized content, Software, Video game, Animation)
Creative services (Architecture, Advertising)
Suitable candidates now have the chance to nominate themselves or nominate others they are convinced are eligible for the awards.
This award is open to all Nigerian Entrepreneurs (Home based or in diaspora) in the Creative Industry above the age of 21yrs old that have been running a business for at least 2yrs. principally They must demonstrate their potential to be a leader of the creative industry through their character, drive and abilities.
Submission of entries close on Monday, October 31, 2011 and nominees in each category will be announced on the 12 November after our panel of judges has successfully screened them.
Amongst the 10 nomination categories; one overall winner will be chosen from the list of winners and will be declared the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards will hold at British Council Creative Industry Expo on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
