
If you didn’t know better, you’d think Nigeria was infamous for Boko Haram, 419 and all those things that the western media like to tag us with.
Now, a new Google infographic created by Exeter International shows the preconceptions people have about different countries across the world.

Using the auto-suggest feature on Google, Exeter found what people most commonly search for in conjunction with countries, showing what each country is most famous for (or, at least, what people associate them with).

For Nigeria, the most commonly searched term was ‘Nigerian movies‘; meaning what the world wants to know most about Nigeria is our films.
