The name Pete Eneh may not immediately ring a bell, but a picture certainly would.
The veteran actor is a popular face in most Nollywood movies.
This however isn’t the best of times for Eneh who has for many years maintained what many might consider a stereotyped role; always taking on the role of a poor old villager, a sick old man or the head of an impoverished family.
The actor has been bed ridden for a while now in an Enugu hospital after sustained an injury on his left leg.
Sources reveal that the actor could not afford the proper medication for the said injury that had gotten so bad with time, and was beginning to grow, penetrating deep into the leg and spreading to other parts of the body. This was said to have worsened with no solution in sight.
Therefore, doctors reportedly reached a conclusion to amputate the badly infected leg before it finally compromised his entire body.
The planned amputation has since been carried out, and reports reaching us say the actor is in high spirits, as he is reported to be taking it quite well and is recovering.
This news is coming barely a week after another Nollywood actor Enebeli Elebuwa sent word from India where he is undergoing treatment after suffering from stroke.
Enebeli health is improving and he is doing much better then he was while in Nigeria. Also presently on the sick bed is popular actress Ngozi Nwosu, who is also reported to be bed ridden with an undisclosed illness.
