Nneka Featured in Intimate MTV Iggy Photoshoot

Nigerian-German singer Nneka Egbuna was recently featured on MTV Iggy in an exclusive ‘intimate ‘photo shoot which was published on their website Thursday, march 1, 2012.

Nneka, 32 was also featured on the website’s live acoustic section where she rendered live performances of three tracks from her  Soul Is Heavy album.

‘If there were no pain, there would be no inspiration. So it’s coming from a dark place, I would say. But I like the dark. I’ve understood that within the darkness, you can always take something from it. And that is what has made me create an album that is, I think, positive; that uplifts people, gives them courage and hope‘, the international known singer said.

Last month, another Nigerian artiste, pop star D’banj was featured on the website in the MTV Iggy artist of the week competition. He however lost out to Rwandan-born, Belgium-based electro-pop singer, Iyadede.
