Whoop whoop! Congratulations are in order for Nigerian fashion designer, Kenneth Izedonmwen of Kenneth Ize who just made the 2019 shortlist for the LVMH Prize!
Raised in Austria, the 28-year-old designer has carved a niche for himself in the industry and even gotten the attention of the international media for his hand-woven designs.
The 20 candidates will be screened down to eight finalists by a panel of 63 fashion professionals after a two-day showroom at LVMH’s Avenue Montaigne headquarters on the first and second of March during Paris Fashion Week.
And in the words of the iconic Issa Rae, we’re rooting for everybody black – or African!
