Before then the last time she dropped an official song was on November 25, 2014 when she released ‘My Darling‘. It’s almost one year but somehow she’s managed to remain in our consciousness, in this period she’s been on several collaborations including Kiss Daniel‘s ‘Woju remix’, Isaac Gerald‘s ‘Just Incase’, Skuki’s ‘Gbemileke’ and others.
As her fans eagerly anticipate her return, our reporters hit the streets to find out from fans and industry pundits what they expect from the ‘Kele kele’ singer when she finally returns to music…
Do2dtun: She definitely is coming back to steal back her crown. Some young beautiful cats with the same kind of energy and delivery took it. I know mami will come back and this time BULLS EYE!!!
Chinelo Nnely: I’m not a fan of Tiwa Savage, but I expect same boring music she delivers and same boring stage performance, and I expect her fans to still enjoy it like she never left.
Shakar El (Pop act): She needs to come back with a Bang as in serious Pop banger, audio and video with dance routines to show everyone that she is fully back and in full form, let the people know what they missed when she was pregnant. The attitude should be ‘the game missed me and I know and I’m back’.
‘Lamide: She always raises the bar after every milestone. The wanted video was after her wedding…she better not fail this time!
Mc Meyagy: Truth be told, I’m not a fan, so I’m not expecting anything out of the ordinary. I’m a huge fan of ASA and Niniola, for those two, I could say a whole lot of what to expect. As regards Tiwa, she can continue with her kele kele… I honestly don’t care.
Tunde Aluko: She should just bring back the old Tiwa. Not the tungba one Don Jazzy turned her to.
Hakeem Sadiku: Just one word: Fierce. A totally different kind of music. No more ‘hugging trees’ and nearly naked except for performances. Although nearly naked is allowed o. But her music needs to be firm now that she has ‘gone to the bush’ to collect baby from God. Having understood what it takes to be a mother and how much strength motherhood requires, so it sure should reflect on her music.
Rasheed Abubakar: Churn out good music because competition is now high especially from fellow female singers. Although they can NEVER be a threat to Tiwa because her style is unique. I welcome her and we expect nothing but the best. Thank God, she has a good team, no doubt. I wish her good luck.
Ink Edwards: In truth, I expect great music. Would be interesting to hear what her topic choice would be and I’m the kind of guy who likes when winners stay winning so I wish her the best.
S Dot: More of the same great vocal depth and soul-touching lyrics inspired by the attainment of motherhood. Basically more good music, deeper messages too
Bankulli: Super hits, beautiful music should compliment the new baby. I have no doubt she will come through with that.
