For three months in a year, Nigerians are entertained by Africa’s biggest reality show, Big Brother Naija. Then on the final day of the show, the entire country is united by the winner, especially if he’s the people’s chosen one – Laycon.
The frenzy could only be compared to one thing: a world cup win. Social media and traditional media have all been talking about one thing, Laycon’s imminent BBNaija win. If Laycon hadn’t won the competition, it would have caused a different type of frenzy as the fans and viewers of the show already accepted his win even before the live show.
He had a spectacular journey in Big Brother’s house, capturing millions of hearts in the 71 days he spent on the show. He is the most influential housemate of the season and his landslide victory has caused celebration and brought happiness to many Nigerians.
After he was announced as the winner of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown season, Laycon broke down in shock and thanked all his fans.
