Olu Onemola, a Nigerian graduate from Lehman College, the City University of New York (CUNY) on Saturday, June 2, 2012 received seven awards at the just concluded graduation ceremony of the school.
The young graduate bagged the ‘International Honour Society’ award also referred to as ‘Golden Key‘, ‘Pi sigma Alpha’, ‘National Honour Society in Political Science’, ‘The Jacob Hammer Memorial Prize in English’, ‘Edgar Dawson Prize in Political and Legal Theory’; which is awarded to outstanding Political Science graduate with strongest political portfolio and legal essay.
He also received the ‘CUNY Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Leadership Award’ and the ‘Cum Laude Award’.
‘My impression is that hard work definitely pays off. Being able to achieve such feats while serving as the President of the Student Government, is a testament to hard work’, an Elated Onemola was quoted.
Olu is the son of Nigeria’s Deputy Ambassador at the United Nations in New York, Bukun-olu Onemola
