The Eagles won the game 2-0 with goals coming from Odion Ighalo and Gbolahan Salami. The match which was played in the Northern city of Kaduna ended with fans trooping to the pitch in celebration which has been condemned by CAF.
After meeting on Sunday, September 20, 2015, the Disciplinary committee of CAF has now come out with a report charging Nigeria of misconduct with a penalty asking the country to pay the $5,000 fine. a statement on CAF website simply stated that the fine was a result of ‘Pitch Invasion when Nigeria scores.’
