The death has been announced of popular alleged cannibal, Clifford Orji after his long battle with a psychiatry related illness.
Media reports say Orji, 46 died during his sleep on Friday, August 17, 2012, as confirmed by the Ag. P.R.O of Lagos State Police Command, Biyi Jeje.
Jeje says cause of death is yet to be known but an autopsy will be carried out to ascertain the cause. He however mentioned that Orji had for long battled with a mental illness and had been rejected in two different psychiatry hospitals including the Yaba Psychiatry home.
Orji until his death was yet to be tried as his mental imbalance made it impossible.
Prior to his death, his condition had deteriorated as he was reported to be vomiting and defecating without restraints coupled with his desire to be naked at all time.
Orji was arrested under the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway bridge in February 1999 and accused for manslaughter and cannibalism amongst other things.

Pls when commenting read the news carefully so you don’t make a fool of yourself,jonbeezy—point of correction,the court of law will not try a person who has been adjudged to be mentally unstable but will only refer d person to a mental institution to be treated,it’s after d persons treatment and he is adjudged to be sound before he will be made to answer to his crime and orji,s case is no different so stop blaming our judicial system–it’s like a Danton driver having an accident and you start blaming the conductor
