Nigeria has dropped 14 places in the latest FIFA ranking released for the month of July. Nigeria, ranked 43 last month, now occupies the 57th position in the world and 10th in Africa.
Algeria remains the best ranked team in Africa and ranked 19th in the world. Still on the world stage, Argentina has dethroned Germany from the No. 1 spot as Belgium, Colombia and Netherlands complete the top 5.
Nigerians are not happy with the position of the Super Eagles and hope the Super Eagles will be ranked higher in the coming months especially with the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as the team’s new coach.
