Dr Shaibu Husseini, Executive Director of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), will join the lineup of panelists at NECLive 2025. A journalist, critic, and film administrator, he’s spent decades documenting and shaping Nigeria’s film industry through policy, advocacy, and cultural scholarship.
With a PhD in film studies, Husseini brings both academic rigour and industry experience to his role. As a Golden Globes voting member and former chairman of the Africa Movie Academy Awards selection committee, his influence extends across African cinema’s global positioning.
