This is Amaju Pinnick. He’s the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, you know, the body that runs the game of football in Nigeria.
Because Nigeria is football mad, that’s the only sport we give preference.
This year, the body got an $800,000 grant from FIFA. But then the organization is always in crisis- because they’re always owing. They owe coaches, contractors and players
Most recently, the female football team, the Falcons won the African Championship and they had to protest to get their due entitlements. The Minister of Sports said he didn’t expect them to win so there were no preparations for them
All these do not seem to affect Amaju Pinnick as he’s always glowing. He took time out of his busy schedule to unwind at two events in Lagos this past weekend. Back to back.
