With 2 albums which produced numerous hits, over 50 collaborations and a handful full of lawsuits and other trouble, hit maker Terry G has successfully managed to remain as one of the most creative and controversial artistes in the last three years.
Terry G is known for chunking out hits – his solo efforts and collaborations have in more than one scenario climbed up the charts, built a small bungalow and stayed there at the top for weeks! Remember AY.com‘s ‘Pass me your love‘, Illbliss‘ ‘Aiye Pon gan‘ and the noisy but infectious ‘Free madness‘? Oh yes, we all shamelessly danced to them, then hurriedly criticized, tagging it as ‘rubbish music’. It’s alright, i did it too…but Terry G is no doubt a hit maker – a former backup singer for Faze, ‘Mr. ginjah‘ understands how to make music.
‘Apako Master‘ is another certified hit. He uses the same instrumental he produced for friend and singer Side One‘s ‘One by one‘ which he featured on. Terry G and Side One had a fall out after the latter abandoned Side One’s video shoot for the same song. Terry G is as usual noisy and inarticulate on the track, but the tune and melody erases those flaws. Yes, it’s another hit
