NETPod: ‘Run Their Mouth’ By Chidinma

She enjoyed the limelight from the centre stage at the Project Fame West Africa. She moved on and released her first single ‘Jankoliko‘ which featured veteran Sound Sultan. She’s back with a follow up single to re-enforce her stay in the music township.

Chidinma doesn’t cut across as your average ‘sexy-themed’ diva. More reflective with her lyrics and conservative with her style, she does gather her crowd and yes they do love her.

One can’t help but feel that ‘Run their Mouth’ takes a little signing style from Fela’s music. The chanting chorus is reminiscent of Fela’s female backup singers voices. Chidinma has definitely improved too, more confident and lyrical as she talks about the broken promises ‘they’ have made.
