As promised rapper Kel has returned with the third installment of her singles’ release. Let’s do a quick recap; there was ‘Shayo & Move‘, the very impressive ‘Superwoman‘ and now a third single titled ‘Mu kulu’ to hasten up a possible album release.
Just as reviewed earlier, Kel doesn’t impress much with her lyrics; watery and most times not head on point, she swerves to her voice inflection, delivery style and branding. So far, her comeback has been recognized, so to cement her return, she calls on young singer Tupengo to take the hook while she tries to clear any atom of doubt that she can hold her own.
‘Mu Kulu’, is a slang originated by the legendary Ebenezer Obey in the evergreen classic ‘Mukulu Muke Majo‘, the phrase has spun quite a number of remixes and now Kel joins the list. Her lyrics are questionable but as usual and after a brilliant performance on ‘Superswoman‘, you would think the femcee was ready to take charge. Sadly no, she doesn’t.
It’s a song you can easily rock to but for how long? Kelechi Ohia still has a lot of work to do.
