Good music always gets its way out, and when it does, it’s appreciated. The same can be said of DTones Martins songs.
Born Dolapo Martins to a jazzy player for a father and chorister mother, at his birth, the course of DTone’s life seemed to have been automatically locked in music. His style tends towards the contemporary genre with a touch of Jazz.
His two singles ‘Ife gbagbara’ and ‘Sun kun ife’ are both brilliant pieces. In an era where we are caught in the fast moving pop genre, we should slow down and listen to ‘laid back’ music sung over well composed instrumentals.
