Engager, real name Afolabi Ogunleye is a London based Nigerian singer and song writer. He says he got his name from his ‘vibrant aura and charisma’.
The 27-year-old’s style of music sounds quite interesting, solely based on his voice delivery and intonation. Not easily influenced by the western sound, Engager sticks to local sounds quickly referencing local dialect at any chance he gets.
‘Engage you‘ which features EME rapper Skales and rookie R.I.C draws influence from pop sounds as the rapper flips easy going rhymes while Engager blends in with almost humorous lyrics.
‘Hunny bunny‘ sees Engager take on a more dominating role as he sings on heavy hitting percussions. Commendable effort.
