Media girl, Toke Makinwa shocked her fans when on January 15, 2014; she wedded her fitness expert husband, Maje Ayida in a very quiet ceremony at the Ikoyi Registry, Lagos. Six days after the secret wedding, Makinwa told fans and friends it had caught her unawares.
Expectedly, the surprise didn’t affect her choice of wedding dress as she sparkled in a gorgeous lace and satin custom dress made by her designer friend, Kunbi Oyelese, who owns the April by Kunbi fashion line.
The dress was inspired by a dress from Berta Bridal Creations’ 2014 winter collection, pepped up with a soft glowing look made possible by make-up artist, Joyce Jacob. In attendance were her sisters and a few of her friends including Arese Ogiemwonyi and Louise Priddy.
