Yul Edochie, a top Nollywood star and son of actor Pete Edochie has won the NET Honours ‘Most Popular Actor’ award.
Yul was up against Jim Iyke, Odunlade Adekola, Timini Egbuson and Richard Mofe Damijo.
Yul Edochie, isn’t just an actor but also a politician. In 2017, he contested for the Anambra state gubernatorial elections. Even though he was unsuccessful in the elections, he was appointed a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra state on creative and entertainment media.
The ‘Most Popular Actor’ award went to Jim Iyke in 2019, but he lost the position to Yul Edochie, who emerged as People’s Choice for 2020.
