Davido has emerged NET Honours Class of 2020 Most Popular Male Musician. The artist was contending with heavyweights in this category including 2Baba, Olamide, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Davido has been on a steady trajectory since his debut into the Nigerian music scene. The singer has a lot of awards to his name and he can proudly add theNET Honours award to the list. He won the BET Best International Act Award first in 2014, then in 2018. In 2017, he won the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best African Act and has won several.
His album ‘A Good Time’ is critically acclaimed and he is set to release a follow up album ‘A Better Time’.
‘Fall’ his single off the ‘A Good Time’ album was recently certified in the United States.
His record label DMW – Davido Music World has signed some of the biggest artists in Nigeria.
The artists was recently featured in Billboard Magazine’s Africa Now issue alongside Tiwa Savage and Mr Eazi. It is no doubt that this win is well deserved by Davido. Congratulations.
