By Gbenga Bada
Kenyan comedienne, Sabina was one of the housemates of the ongoing Big Brother Hotshots before her sudden eviction on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
She spoke exclusively to Gbenga Bada on her experience within her 2 weeks stay in the house.
You were scored 78.3 after your performance at the opening, which ultimately helped you against first eviction, why do you think you were evicted just after that?
I think it comes down to numbers and the other Kenyans in the east African countries didn’t vote. But I’m happy for getting the score. Damn the saxophone J, I would have been HOH (Head Of House).
How do you feel leaving the house this early?
I’m a bit bummed that I left in 2 weeks but I’m happy for the 2 weeks were the best in my life. I have been blessed to have shared that moment with Africa and the housemates
You composed a lovely song alongside JJ and Permithias, what brought about the inspiration?
I have composed many songs with them, so I don’t know which specific songs you are asking about, but our inspiration is always just speaking from the heart and also pushing creativity by exploring my God-given talent.
You were looking sad all through Sunday before your eviction was announced, did you foresee leaving the house?
I didn’t realize that, buy yes, I was confident I would stay but I also kept thinking what if, and I did see a throwback of my stay in the house. So maybe God was showing me a sign. I read Psalm 27 and I thought it was someone else but it ended up been me that needed that reading.
Tell me the highest point of your stay in the house
Freestyling and making music with Kacey, JJ and especially Permithias. Hiding food and theme parties were so much fun. Walking with a mic all day and talking to Biggie and just having the whole experience with the housemates are all highest points.
Who would you tag as the most annoying?
No one specific, Lilian was too volatile, Tayo was too self-absorbed in the beginning. M’am Bea was feeling all queen of Zamunda, Arthur feeling high but it was a manageable annoyance.
What would you have done better if given another chance?
Yes, please give me a second chance..hahahahaha! I have been myself whether if I did this or that, I did my best and there is nothing specific that I can classify as a disadvantage from the voters views. I gave and did what I did and now have to move on a positive note. I thank God for the chance.
What have you taken out of BBHotshots?
I have learnt to work harder, wake up early and pursue my dreams and hone my gifts and talents. And I got to see I’m a star and you can’t stop my shine. I’ve explored my many talents and many more. I love me.
