By Dayo Showemimo Real nasty crash: Jahbless narrowly escaped death after he made a last minute decision to join another car on his convoy. The singer wants you to pray for the survival of his aide.
Nigerian singer, Jahblesswho recently released his 3rd studio album ‘I am Me‘ was the headlining act at Industry Nite last night Wednesday June 3, 2015. The weekly event was held at Spice route, Victoria Island, Lagos.
While heading out of the event venue, a car in the singer’s convoy (a Mercedes Benz R 350), driven by his field manager Damola was involved in a total crash that’s similar to the mishap led to Dagrin’s death 5 years agoand CD John’s four years ago.
Jahbless narrowly escaped death after he made a last minute decision to join another car on his convoy.
He told NET exclusively: ‘I’m still in shock, because I could have died. I only thank God that I wasn’t in the car’
‘I came into the venue in the car and the area boys had already marked the car as mine, so when we were leaving, I changed my mind and entered another car’.
Damola sustained several injuries, including a broken leg and hip. He’s currently undergoing treatment at St Nicholas hospital, Lagos.
The incident occurred at 3am on Adeola Odeku street, near the Industry Nite venue.
CD John will mostly be remembered for his funny Christian choruses – a unique style where he messes around with the lyrics of popular songs; presenting his own account of how different Nigerian tribes would deliver the lyrics. With a superb voice, growing repertoire and audience control; he was set to become a big player in the competitive stand-up comedy scene. Until death put a stop to all that promise….
We’re told the Jahbless accident was caused by a reckless truck driver carrying granite who parked across a major intersection.
‘I thank God for our lives , especially Damola’s life. I’m hale and healthy. I am a winner. I’m urging all my true friends, families and fans to keep my field manager in prayers for quick recovery. I also want you to help give praises to God for his mercies over us’.
