With the finale of BBNaija Lockdown only a week away, the race for the winner of the N85 million grand prize has become even fiercer. This means that housemates have to be smarter and play their cards right.
The need for this smartness has been made clear by the three housemates who have secured a spot in the top 5 going on to the finale. On Monday, September 14, Nengi won the Head of House games and secured a place in the finale. Big Brother then switched up the nomination process and allowed the housemates to decide who should be put up for possible eviction in groups of three.
This arrangement worked out for the last-standing ship in the house, ‘Veo’, as Neo and Vee ended up in different teams. The couple, who have had their fair share of a tumultuous relationship on the show, have one thing in common – persuasiveness. They also always have each other’s backs and will fight to the death to make sure that they are each fine.
When Neo and Vee found themselves on separate teams, it was obvious that they had one goal – keep the other safe. This showed in their interactions with other members of their team. They fought hard to get their teammates to put up other people except each other for possible eviction.
At the end of the nomination process, they both achieved their goals and successfully secured a place in the finale. But the road wasn’t always smooth for the couple.
‘Veo’ as they are called by ‘shippers’, was one of the first ships to be formed this season and the only ‘ship’ without a triangle. Vee seemed to have gravitated naturally to Neo and he, on the other hand, felt lucky to have been found desirable by her.
They have refused to define their relationship. But housemates and viewers alike have described them as the ‘ship’ with the most real bond. It’s obvious that they both care deeply for each other, and they go the extra mile to take care of themselves.
We saw that deep affection clearly when Neo gave up some of his Betway BBNaira and personal items to get Vee a bouquet of roses for her birthday. He also found a way to write the sweetest note for her while declaring that he loves her. Vee reciprocated the feelings, claiming that she loves him just as much.
But their love has not been without struggles. Neo and Vee have had their fair share of fights. Most of the fights have been about food or caused by tension that one of them would be leaving the house. The biggest fight happened after a party in the seventh week and almost landed Neo his first strike.
Each fight brought its own ‘break-up’, despite the two refusing to put a title on their relationship. Each fight has been settled within hours, excluding the big seventh-week fight that took a few days to end.
Through their fights, loving moments, and PDA, one thing has remained the same – the fact that they care very deeply for each other. They are each other’s best friend and partner in every sense of the word. And no matter how you feel about them, you can’t but admit that they’ve played a heck of a game. It is what has saved both of them from many a nomination and gotten them into the finals and one step closer to the grand prize.
