Africa’s creative industries are no longer on the sidelines. From Afrobeats selling out arenas worldwide to Nollywood scripts streaming in over 190 countries, the continent is shaping global culture across sound, story, fashion, and art. Africa’s Goldmine: Sound, Story & Global Stage will explore the scale and untapped potential of Africa’s cultural economy, highlighting how these creative outputs have become valuable exports. The panel will also examine the policies, partnerships, and infrastructure necessary to protect, grow, and sustain their value in an increasingly competitive global market.
Moderated by Kolapo Olapoju, the panel session features Aare Abisoye Fagade, Bukunmi “KieKie” Adeaga-Ilori, and Moses Babatope, each bringing expertise in music, fashion, creative enterprise, and policy. Their insights will offer practical strategies for creators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to maximize impact and position Africa’s cultural economy on the global stage.
The panel takes place at NECLive 2025 on Friday, November 28, at 9:00 AM at Landmark Events Centre.
