The hit song ‘Ekaette’ by Maye Hunta is no longer to be played on Nigerian radio stations and TV Channels, from today April 1 according to a memo from Nigeria’s National Broadcasting commission (NBC) obtained by NET yesterday.
According to the memo titled ‘Caution for Broadcast of music with Vulgar lyrics – Ekaette by Maye Hunta’ (pictured above) and sent early this week, ‘the music ‘Ekaette’ by Maye is replete with graphic description of sexual scenes and expression not presented with fact and discretion’.
‘Stations are therefore requested to immediately stop further broadcast of this musical and air only a broadcast version (if any)…’
The document was signed by Mrs Ojone Otonoku, for the Commision’s Zonal Director.

But this stuff do happen.The music enlightens people and we can guide against it.Like employing a older girl in the house to look after your man or leaving the housegirl cooking for your husband.Its educative and real.Prevention is better than cure and people perish due to lake of knowledge.For me its educative and real.
This music should not be banned because it has got no sexual harrassment but the message could be.Alot of other songs being played that should be banned are not..why this?

NBC is a co-operation made up of foolish and ignorant people..foreign songs like: i invented sex by trey songz…. sex in the kitchen and number 1 by R. Kelly and so many other foreign songs that describes the act of having sex,get massive air plays on Nigerian radio and television stations…nothing is done about those…it is ekaette that was released 100 years ago that these NBC morons will lately remember to ban…..llllloooooollll
