The organiser of the annual music and fashion show, Music Meets Runway (MMR), Le Reve has announced that this year’s edition of the popular and respectable fashion and music event will be an ‘African Edition’ with participation from some African countries.
Scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel & Suites on December 23, 2014, the MMR brand has continued to raise the bar in the entertainment industry, spreading its tentacles to other African countries including South Africa, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania.
As such, this year’s show is tagged The African Edition with the aim to spotlight excellence in arts and craftsmanship by celebrating the diversity of African artisans and showcasing various unique and authentic creations from trailblazers in the African society today.
Music Meets Runway is an annual event recognized for providing a platform for the most creative designers, to showcase their latest collections accompanied by live performances from popular musical acts. It is the celebration of both music and fashion on one stage.
Last year’s Icon edition featured four of the most outstanding designers in Nigeria; Ituen Basi, Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Deola Sagoe while he audience was thrilled with performances by 2face, D’banj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Lola Rae and legends like Dr Victor Olaiya and Femi Kuti.
