Gabriel Afolayan, the son of the late theatre Veteran, Adeyemi Ade Love is set to launch himself fully into the music scene with his new love song ‘Kokoro ife’, produced by MasterKraft.
Gabriel, a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan started acting as far back as in the nineties, featuring in Baba Sala’s short film ‘F’opawon’. He finally came into limelight with Tade Ogidan’s Madam Dearest.
‘I chose music after a successful career in movies because I love and appreciate music, it is my main drive, but that doesn’t mean I am quitting acting’.
At the just concluded Nollywood Movies Awards and Yoruba Movies Academy Awards held in Lagos and Abeokuta respectively, the young star won three awards, including the Best Actor in a Supporting Role’, The ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Most Promising Actor ‘awards.
He told NET ‘I give all honour to the creator and giver of talent God. I feel so humbled and it me realise my efforts is not being in vain. I appreciate the industry for giving the platform of expression and to my adorable fans out there for making sure the votes count based on pure love they have for me. I dedicate all my awards to my family, friends and my fans’.
