Hollywood actor Morris Chestnut, who is currently in the country as a special guest of the 2012 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has reportedly refused his Eko Hotel and Suites accommodation describing it as ‘crappy’ and expressing displeasure at the standard of the hotel.
However, a top level representative of the organizers of the awards, billed to hold on Sunday April 22, 2012, stated that the stars are not staying at the Eko Hotel for reasons bordering on privacy, insisting that they wanted to avoid a stampede by fans.
‘I can confirm that they are not staying in Eko Hotel, but this is to avoid them being mobbed. I will however not disclose where they are staying now’, the source said.
However, other sources have confirmed that the actor, in company of colleague Rockmond Dunbar, are staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

@africhic…..well said..he is definitely a ‘has been’…and needs to sit…..cause if not for 9ja’s luv for residual valued actors….that nicca wont stand a chance…cause hes 15mins of fame has been up forever..one tin dat beats me is dat hes also a man of colour…yet he wanna come her and act diva-like or all dat…..
I don’t blame the two of u, Africhic and zozo. Why don’t u call a spade a spader. Is he not entitled to his opinion? If by his standards it is not up to scratch then by God respect his views. Why would u start insulting him for expressing his opinion. If the orga nisers felt it was such a fantastic place, then why are he and Rockmond quartered in another location? In my village, old people say, “use ya teeth to count ya teeth”. I rest my case.
