Yesterday, Nollywood veteran actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde was all shades of excited as she won her first ever AMVCA award, 6 years after the award show first started.
Omotola has been in the industry for over two decades and has witnessed the evolution of the film industry into what it is today while putting in work to contribute her own quota.
Coming close to winning in past, the 40-year-old mother this time won the Best Actress in a Drama/TV Series category with her self-directed 2017 film ‘Alter Ego’.
Accepting her award, Omotola said she was shocked to win as she was going against equally talented actresses, including a child actor.
