Last month, celebrated saxophonist Mike Aremu tied the knot with his long time fiancée Omolara at a private wedding in England.
Prior to the wedding, the couple had initially gotten married at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos, on Thursday June 23, 2011 which also coincided with the bride’s birthday.
Omolara who is a teacher for deaf children and also a freelance interpreter is based in London but often travels along with Mike. The couple had been dating for two years before they finally said ‘I do’.
This is the sax player’s second marriage. In 2005, he split up with his former wife Bimbo who is also based in the UK just after a year of marriage.
Aremu who recently brought Kenny G to Nigeria for the third edition of his yearly event, Sax Appeal, says he is currently working on his new album which is ‘in its final stage’.
