Ghanaian beauty queen Abena Appiah was crowned Miss Ghana Universe 2014 on Friday August 29, 2014 during a well-attended ceremony at La Palm Royal Hotel in Accra.
An emotional Abena was crowned by the former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, as she broke down into tears after emerging the winner.
Abena who beat 9 other ladies to the title will be representing Ghana in the 2014 World Miss Universe pageant in Brazil.
