Chris Ihidero
The chairman of the NET Editorial Board, Chris is the Chief Operating Officer of Amaka Igwe Studios, one of Nigeria’s leading audio-visual production companies. He has been a theatre artiste, broadcaster, newspaper columnist, magazine editor and a university lecturer at Lagos State University. He made the switch to film in 2007 when he joined Amaka Igwe Studios as a trainee director. Beyond his duties as COO, Chris works largely as a film/TV director, while also teaching various courses and handling projects for the Centre for Excellence in Film & Media Studies.
Steve Babaeko
Steve Babaeko is the Business/Creative Director of 141 Worldwide, a frontline marketing communication firm in Nigeria. He started his career as a Copywriter with MC&A (Saatchi &Saatchi) in 1995, and moved to Prima Garnet in 2001. In 2005, he became the pioneer Creative Director of 141 Worldwide, an advertising agency currently redefining the communication business in West Africa. Steve is also the founder of X3M Music, an independent record label which is part of the music renaissance going on in Nigeria. He is married to the well-known photographer Yetunde Babaeko, and is blessed with two boys, Louis and Lamar.
Lamide AkintobiLamide Akintobi is a Lagos-based journalist and an award winning News Anchor. She is also a freelance sub-editor and writer, an avid reader, a techie, and an aspiring documentary maker. She received her B.A in Broadcast Journalism at Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas, and in 2011, Graduated with an M.A in International Journalism from City University, London, where she was a British Council Chevening Scholar. She is also a lover of travel, music, and Spanish.
Ademola Ogungbuji
Ademola Ogungbuji has over 15 years of experience in the Financial, Compliance and Professional Services field. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, Investment & Governance issues, Business Restructuring, and Human Resource Consulting. Ademola specializes in helping organizations embark on comprehensive change programs to improve performance and strengthen management ability. She is also passionate about e-commerce, and helping Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with restructuring and governance issues. Ademola holds a B.A. in Linguistics, an MBA and other business certifications. She serves on the technical committee of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and is currently the Director of Compliance and Human Resource Consulting in SIAO.
Efe Omorogbe
Top level artiste manager and CEO of Now Muzik, Omorogbe is a seasoned veteran in the Nigerian entertainment world. He heads Now Muzik, an artsite management company that houses the likes of 2face Idibia, J Martins, T.W.O, Sunny Neji and a host of others. Efe is an avid music fan, with the love for writing and philosophy. He describes himself sometimes as an ‘optimistic skeptic’.
Tolu Ogunlesi
Tolu Ogunlesi’s journalism, poetry and fiction have appeared in NEXT, CNN.com, Huffington Post, Wasafiri, Transition, World Literature Today, and elsewhere. A 2009 winner of the CNN Multichoice African Journalism Prize for Arts & Culture, Tolu recently completed his Masters (MA) in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, in the UK. He’s previously served on the editorial board of a national newspaper. He currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria, from where he manages arts projects for the British Council, and tweets feverishly.
