May D was born in Warri, Delta State to family of 5 boys. He however moved to Lagos with his family at the age of 9.
He attended Greensprings School for his elementary education then proceeded to King’s College which was also attended by his 4 brothers.
He holds a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
As a young boy, he got interested in entertainment as a secondary school student and was often seen miming and dancing to songs by Craig David.
He later hooked up with a friend at UNILAG and they formed the group, Just Us. The group was short lived as his partner soon relocated to the United Kingdom.
May D became a household name after he got signed unto Psquare’s Square Records in 2008. He was with the label for 4 years before he parted ways with them after unsettled differences.
He has since moved on under his own imprint, Confam Entertainment.
