
Oscar winning actor Matt Damon has tipped Idris Elba for new James Bond role.
‘I like Idris, I think he’s brilliant. I’ll watch him in anything. He makes everything he’s in better and he would make that franchise better. He’s awesome,’ Matt Damon who’s been working on the Jason Bourne franchise said when asked by Access Hollywood what he thinks of Idris taking over from Daniel Craig.

Idris Elba is currently in the middle of shooting movie roles for upcoming movies, The Dark Tower and Thor: Ragnarok which will be in theaters from November 3, 2017.

Damon played the role of Jason Bourne in 2002’s The Bourne Identity, and he’s appeared as a former CIA operative in four of the five films currently in the franchise. The new series directed by Paul Greengrass will be released on July 29 in USA.
Sam Mendes who directed Skyfall and Spectre in the long-running spy bond franchise quit in May because he wants to make stories with new characters.
Meanwhile, Daniel Craig – who starred as 007 in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and 2015’s Spectre – is also set to step down from his role in the series.
Other actors that has been linked to be the new Bond include Game Of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke, David Oyelowo, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tom Hiddleston who’s currently dating singer Taylor Swift.
