The Queen of Hip-hop and Soul, Mary J Blige will be working the sets of Hollywood as she will be playing the biggest acting role of career portraying the American singer/pianist Nina Simone. The movie is set to land cinemas in 2012.
The 40-year-old Bronx native was announced to play the role back in 2005 but things died down afterwards. While announcing the release of her 1oth studio Lp ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues‘, Mary has also revealed to her fans that she would be featuring in another movie titled ‘Rock of Ages‘ alongside Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin. She will be playing the role of Justice Charlier.
