An unnamed adult man was on Thursday, August 30, 2012, alleged to have raped a three-year-old girl at Adeniji Adele, Dolphin Estate, Phase 2 Lagos.
NET gathered that the little girl (unnamed) ran into a shop close by in tears and while the woman who owns the shop enquired about the tears, the man beckoned on the girl to follow him.
However seeing that the woman would not release the child, he attempted to flee but the woman thinking he was a kidnapper raised an alarm that alerted the youths in the area who gave him a chase, caught up with him and lynched him.
However, when the crowd reportedly noticed that the little girl was bleeding from her private part from alleged sexual molestation it spurred the mob to beat the man some more after stripping him naked.
The police however intervened and took the victim to the police station.
