After what is deemed a one-year break, Cynthia Morgan made a return in May with a new single under the moniker – Madrina. In a recent chat with Victor Okpala on NET TV, the singer revealed the reason behind her action.
“Madrina has been there. A lot of people who know me as Madrina even as far back as two years ago. The name Cynthia Morgan is my real name. It’s still my legal name but I obviously thought it was time for me to switch up to that because I’m so grown now, it’s a different vibe. I’m a different person – let’s say Madrina is the grown Cynthia Morgan”, She explained.
She further revealed that she owns her company (label) now, and it felt right to start on a fresh slate especially because people were already familiar with the name (Madrina).
