Made Kuti, the progeny of Afrobeat legends Fela and Femi Kuti, is confirmed as a performer at the season finale of BBNaija Season 6, Africa’s biggest reality TV show.
After 10 weeks of non-stop drama, unexpected twists and unforeseen exits, Big Brother Africa Season 6 will crown the winner during a live show by 7 PM. By the show’s end, we will know who the lucky housemate is that walks away with ₦90 million worth of prizes.
Made Kuti, born Omorinmade Kuti, is the first son of Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti and grandson of music icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Made started playing with his father at age five at the African Shrine. By 8, he began touring countries in Europe, Asia and Australia. He attended Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London to study composition. Made plays several instruments, including drums, trumpet, piano, bass guitar and the saxophone, some of which he taught himself.
In October 2020, he released his debut single, ‘Free Your Mind’, in which he plays all the instruments on the track. On February 5, 2021, he released a joint album with his father titled’ Legacy +’. The album consists of his debut album, ‘For(e)ward’ and Femi Kuti’s new album, ‘Stop The Hate’.
Made Kuti and his band, The Movement, recently performed at the 2021 Global Citizen Live broadcast to represent Africa as the voice to pledge for change and commitments that will improve environmental protections.
Other artistes scheduled to perform at the finale include fantastic duo Ajebo Hustlers, resign superstar Lojay, BBNaija Season 5 winner and rapper, Laycon and BBNaija Season 4 housemate Avala.
The winner will receive ₦90 million worth of prizes, which includes ₦30 million cash prize, cash in an Abeg digital wallet, bitcoins courtesy of Patricia, a two-bedroom apartment courtesy of RevolutionPlus Property, a top of the range SUV from a Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors and a trip for two packaged by Travelbeta.
