- An area of that was affected by the fire
An unexpected fire on the evening of Thursday, August 30, 2012, has burned down the Direct Observation Therapy Centre for Tuberculosis of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Idi Araba, Lagos.
Although the cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, some suspect it may have been caused by an electric spark.
The fire is said to have raged for an hour while fire fighters attempted to put it out.
No casualties have been reported so far, as it is an out patient centre, but the centre has lost several millions of naira worth of drugs, as well as vital medical records and documents.

It’s only the Almighty Allah who can save us in a country where nothing works well or how do we describe a situation where fire will burn for hours without fire fighter stopping it. This is affecting a public place what about if it is a private place?
