It is a exactly year today since Nigerian musician, Olumuyiwa Adeyemi Osinuga a.k.a Nomoreloss died.
The musician, who passed away at the age of 39, has been paid tribute by some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Reliving their moments together, singer, Nikki Laoye wrote, ‘It is one year already, I remember you today, bros mi as always. Big brothers like you are very rare and I thank God for all that you were to me from day one, when I started my musical career as Nikki Laoye in 2006, you were always right there to advise, bug me, and encourage me all the way, all through the years as one of our advisory personnel at Wahala Media Entertainment. Losing you hurt real bad. It still does but I know you are in a better place where there’s no more pain or sorrow. I just miss you sha’.
Rapper, Illbliss on his part said, ‘How Time Flies… exactly a year today since we lost you homie. I know you are in Heaven smiling down. May your soul keep resting in Eternal Peace’.
Also his friend and close associate, Daddy Showkey simply captioned his Instagram post in Nomoreloss’ honour, ‘Forever in our hearts.’
Another close associate of his, Weird MC, said:
‘Muyiwa my personal person, my heart how time flies wow it’s been a year already but I am happy that you knew God. I miss you so so much I think a part of me left with you. But I know God is my strength. You left a void that could only be filled by God. I miss our convos our trips we spoke about anything and everything. There are still times I get lost in thoughts… Awesome memories.. you were fiercely loyal always protective. I still jam your songs that’s the beauty of music it leaves an everlasting imprint… I won’t lie I get moody sometimes but I am happy u are truly in a better place.. I miss my brother my friend The LORD has been my strength I am stronger now. I miss you miss you till we see again love you always. Like you will say ‘Sister in the LORD”.
Born in Lagos State in the late ’70s, the late musician attended A.D.R.A.O. International school.
He studied the rudiments of music from one of Nigeria’s greatest instrumentalists and jazz saxophonist, Kunle Ajayi.
Nomoreloss was known for his love for classical music with a fusion of R&B, pop, jazz, reggae and jazz with an underlying tone of high life.
His strong belief that art must take material from nature spurred him to create a style that was unique and exemplary.
The late singer is survived by a wife and beautiful daughter, Motunrayo Oshinuga.
