The Grammy Awards is a big deal. It is the pinnacle of music success.
Each year, thousands of artistes prepare to perform, work the red carpet or even to merely attend.

Nigerian music is also a big deal. Our artistes are getting known all over the world. See how Drake was blushing when he met Burna.

So back in January when singer Yemi Alade tweeted that she had gotten invited to the Grammys in Los Angeles, all of us were happy.

But last night at the event, we didn’t see Yemi. The only Nigerian we saw was Kah-Lo.
Like she was looking for Johnny, we too were looking for Yemi.
Her usually active social media pages didn’t show photos of her getting ready to kill it.
It got us wondering, what happened?
Still looking for yemi alade
She said we’re not smiling to the bank and flaunted her grammy invite https://t.co/RVZnZCGd6x

Maybe her private jet didn’t find where to land.

Or maybe she was in LA but got stuck in traffic.

Or maybe she was there in the crowd and we’re the ones who didn’t see her.

Anyway, we’re looking for Johnny; sorry we’re looking for Yemi.

Holla at us if you spot her.
No Fields Found.
