Still fresh in our minds is the story of Olajumoke, a ‘local’ bread seller who photobombed the shoot of a UK artiste and somehow became an Internet sensation after the photos went viral online.
Well, same can be said for 18-year-old Arshad Khan who was just another face in a crowded Sunday market, in the Pakistani capital, where he made a tea.
Since then however, he has turned into a social media sensation. And that was just the start of his journey.

He was mistakenly snapped a few months ago by a photographer known as Javeria, and the images of Khan, with his blue eyes, beard, and thick locks, quickly spread all over Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook once she posted the snaps online on Saturday, October 15.
It is said that by the end of the day on October 17, #ChaiWala (which means tea seller) was the top trending topic on Pakistani Twitter. It wasn’t long before Twitter across the border in India began swooning.
Though there’s been this conflict between India and Pakistan – this was some relief, even if a temporal one.

According to Khan, ‘Some 40 to 50 girls have visited me since morning,’ he told a local TV. And when asked if he is open to acting in movies, Khan, without as much as batting an eyelid, said, ‘Sure I will.’
it would be interesting to see if any tea company sign this #chaiwala in their ad…

And just yesterday, October 18, Khan was reportedly signed up by online retailer Fitin to model for a company. Shortly, he was spotted clean-shaven, wearing a dapper two-piece suit, with hair gelled. A far cry from what you see in the lead image.

We’re still marvelled at this, because you don’t come across an Olajumoke everyday… it’s something that happens every once in a while.
