A Lebanese referee Ali Sabbagh has been sentenced to 6 months in prison for accepting sexual services from gambling mafia in Singapore in order for him to fix a football match.
Two other football officials were also found guilty for match fixing, and sentenced to three months in prison; but released later in the day because of ‘the amount of time they had spent in prison since April and their good behaviour’.
The two officials have been deported to Lebanon.
