American pop star, Lauryn Hill continues her string of show cancellations, with the latest reported in the United Kingdom. Between May 2015 and today, the former Fugees member has cancelled her appearance at 3 international shows, starting from her failed trip to Nigeria for a concert on May 1, 2015.
The second had to do with a concert in Israel where she was scheduled to perform on May 7, 2015 near Tel Aviv but had to cancel due to social media campaigns by activists urging her to boycott Isreal over its occupation of Palestinian territory.
The latest in this string of cancellations is her withdrawal from a sold-out show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire due to claims that she’s has been banned from entering the UK.
According to Lauryn Hill: ‘I’ve been informed that I won’t be able to enter the UK for a period of time due to my past legal situation. For this reason I have to cancel my concert on July 15th. Know that I was looking forward to performing in London this summer, and that I appreciate all of my fans and supporters both in London, and throughout the UK. I look forward to seeing you again as soon as I’m able to.’
