The Management of Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club, Kwara United, has sacked seven players from the club. The players were kicked out after their 0-1 home defeat to ABS FC in Ilorin on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
The chairman of the club, Alhaji Toyin Olokoba confirmed to SuperSport.com that the affected players have been advised to leave the camp immediately, saying the players were let go because ‘We [the team] have to do what we have done for us to achieve our target of picking a continental ticket at the end of this season.‘
The affected players are Semiu Sulaiman, Solomon Yahya, Ndubuisi Obi, Charles Omokaro, Edebiri Amafe, Habib Abubakar and Lukman Saka.
