Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning.
TMZ first reported that Kobe Bryant, 41, along with four other people had been involved in a plane crash in Calabasas at around 10 am this morning. New reports confirm that Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna was also aboard the crashed helicopter.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the crash occurred before 10 am, and started a bushfire. The fire made it difficult for firefighters and emergency personnel to get to the aircraft.
Gianna Bryant and her father, Kobe were reportedly on their way to a travel basketball game with another player and parent.
Gianna is survived by her mother – Vanessa, and her three sisters – Natalia, Bianca and their newborn Capri.
