The fight had barely begun when Qampi repeatedly hit the late boxer until he went into coma and was rushed to the hospital in Frere where he died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
South African Sports minister, Fikile Mbalula has expressed sadness over the development saying: ‘It is indeed sad to hear of this news involving the passing of this young upcoming athlete.’
